Why
STart with
UDRA
As part of its digital transformation, the U.S. Army focused on empowering our Warfighters with the critical capability to achieve decision-dominance with the right data at the right time. To accomplish this, the Deputy Assistant Secretary of the Army for Data, Engineering and Software, DASA(DES) team has developed an approach towards implementing Data Mesh, starting with a Unified Data Reference Architecture (UDRA) that:
– flattens and simplifies the Army’s data architecture,
– streamlines data-product sharing across mission partners and
– supports data-drive decision making at greater speed and scale.
An initial implementation available to operationalize the architecture (Unified Data Reference Implementation, UDRI) is available through the Innovation Exchange Lab (IXL). With this implementation, you can interact with the UDRI services and components to better understand and make decisions about your data solutions and conformance with the UDRA.
HoW IT WORKS
Step 1: Company and Software Registration
Provide your company’s details, product type and material in the IXL application
Step 2: Evaluation and Technical Consultation
Our team of experts will review your submission for relevancy and provide technical consultation through a technical exchange meeting (TEM).
Step 3: Deployment and Experimentation
Deploy the reference implementation into your environment and assess your solution’s conformance to UDRA.
Step 4: Demonstration and Feedback
Demonstrate your solution in relation to the UDRA and share your own experiment with the DASA(DES) team for feedback.
What’s In it for You?
Registration within the IXL is not a contract award. It is an opportunity for innovators like you to gain a better understanding of the U.S. Army designs and make informed decisions about your solutions’ alignment.
